Samurai Deeper Kyo: scenes from vol 12(post 3 of 3)

Here, the gang has gone to the home of Muramasa, Mahiro's foster brother and a Mibu elder who(we later learn) essentially raised Kyo when he was young, until he left the Mibu.  There they meet Shinrei, a Mibu warrior who is...urm...obsessively devoted to and loyal to the Mibu.  Kyo is supposed to be the last hope of the Mibu, and Shinrei wants proof.  Unfortunately, his being able to trounce both Muramasa and Kyo(though neither is at their best) doesn't help Kyo's case any,  and he enters into an odd wager with Kyo and Yuya.

Yuya dear, this is going to get you into SO much trouble...

And no, I don't mean this...







Good Kyo.  *pets him*



Kyo speak translation: "Please stop defending me.  It means I have to save you and someone might notice I care."

I love that this is likely the first time either ever had any form of liplock going for them.  And I love Kyo and Benitora's faces are great...Benitora looks like he just popped a vein, and Kyo's "shock" face is like his brain just shuts off going "do not compute.  cannot process. complete shu-u-tdo-o-own im-m-m-m-m-i-n-*click*"







This is what Kyo hears: "You go kill many Mibu.  Girls lives. You get body." To which Kyo says: "Got it.  Let me get started on that."


(note: Shinrei has water powers)





Incidentally, I didn't like Shinrei for a good while because of this *protective of Yuya and Sasuke beyond what's considered healthy* but now I'm all "EEEEE!!! Shinrei!"
