that was...it...it...why does my only mad icon have to be so tame? I need a blind bloody rage icon...
AA #1...it...it...it made the one issue of Jodi Picoult's WW that I've read look absolutely golden. And some might recall my post on that.
I'm not sure I can be coherent...I mean, is DC on an active campaign(and absurdly heavy handed one at that) to make us utterly despise the amazons? Has anyone involved with this ever read a single Wonder Woman comics that was published in the last twenty years? And that one line of Diana's...one word shouldn't piss me off, but it was enough to convince me that they don't know her at all(poor
forgottenpolishgot my instinctive reaction to that)
I...I...we're talking Marvel-s level of canon-rape and character assassination here.
I don't know if Gail Simone can make it any better...I mean, Picoult's WW was just poorly written and characterized...this is blatant and shameless character assassination on levels you just can't recover from(and the way they did it was just so...well...frankly, it was sexist of the "look at what these horriblehorrible women are doing to men and male symbols" variety...did I mention how disgustingly heavy handed it is?)
Yet, it's a mini, so I'll likely get the whole thing.
