anime: DearS?

meganbmoorePart of my order from rightstuf's Del Rey sale a few weeks back came today and tucked into it was the first volume of the DearS anime in a paper sleeve, presumably as a "here's a free gift... please watch it and then buy the other 5 or so DVDs from us" thing. I freely admit to dismissing this anime and manga in the past based on the cover and skimming the description. Any opinions on it?
