Stargate SG-1 S7 eps 13-17
Feb. 20th, 2008 09:46 pm+Aaah...so that was the "Sam realizes she’s using Jack as a shield" episode I’ve heard so much about. I assume she starts dating for the first time in seven years soon (SEVEN YEARS! SHE’S ALLOWED!)
+I am also vaguely amused by the roles Carter’s subconscious assigns people. Teal’c is strength, O’Neill is common sense, Papa Carter is emotional. All make perfect sense. And then Daniel is the annoying one.
+And she saves everyone with her brain. Aah, it’s been so long.
+Also, Teal’c saying "Samantha"? Threw me for such a loop. At least her subconscious didn’t go so far as to have him say "Sam."
+JONAS!!! With appallingly bad hair! And a cute little blonde scientist assistant who looks a bit like Carter. Which is sweet but vaguely stalkery. Which also seemed to be going through Carter’s mind. And she was a goa’uld, of course...methinks the symbiote was careful in who it chose.
+But mostly, JONAS!!! With appallingly bad hair!
+And I do love it when O’Neill loses patience with idiots.
+Osiris is back! I loves me my goa’uld. Especially the female ones. Even if they do get the goa’uld sucked out of them by the end...
+Yes Carter, it is a VERY good idea to warn prospective boyfriends about the fact that almost every man to ever fall for you ends up dead. In fact, it would be wrong if you didn’t.
+I think O’Neill went off to sulk a bit after the elevator ride.
+Pete, you were "sweet, but out of your league" until that background check thing. You have much, much recovery to do.
+Daniel, liking Carter gets men killed. You liking women gets them possessed by goa’uld. I don’t know which is worse.
+You know, for a moment there, I thought the Alpha Site ep would be a "save the girl" one, which would have made me sad if it weren’t so soon after a "Carter saves everyone’s butts" ep. Then it reminded me that Stargate’s version of a "save the girl" ep means that Carter is doing everything she can to save herself, even if drugged, wounded, tortured, or otherwise half dead, and the boys more finish it off than anything else.
+One must love Teal’c for studiously looking away from that borderline cuddle and at the corpse. Err...is it just me, or do they seem to be doing more on the Carter/O’Neill front now than they did before theoretically calling it off?
+Why must Papa Carter say he may not be around for a while? I do not like it when he says such things...
+The documentary thing seems to pretty much only be worthwhile for SG-1's reactions (especially Teal’c’s) and Hammond ripping into the reporter. And Jack into Kinsey, of course.
+But this episode is part 1 of a 2-parter called "Heroes." I now have a feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach.
