Do I shout with joy or scream in rage?
Nov. 28th, 2003 08:49 pmSo, as I was perusing the description for my annotated bibliography(to make sure I really was finished) I noticed that the final paper is only required to be 7-9 pages(I checked both the syllabus and the handout) This is VERY good news, as I'd thought the paper had to be 10-12 pages(of course, now I have to check my syllabus for philosophy and make sure I have the right page count in my head for that one.)
Now, for the screaming in rage part...
It's payday, so I took my self down to Waldenbooks and picked up a couple of TPBs, one of which was "Superman: End of the Century," which has just been begging me to buy and read it for over a month now. So there I was, very happily reading along and enjoying it, despite my not being familiar with some of the events and characters in it, when I get to page 32...and the next page is page 49...I quickly flip forward, hoping the other pages are there, just put in in the wrong order(I could have lived with that) and sure enough, pages 49-64 are there twice. No 33-48. Sigh. Good news is that I called Waldens and they'll let me exchange it, but I bought the only copy in the store and it'll take around two weeks for the new copy to come in.
Sigh.
However, I very much recommend it, even if (like me) you aren't very familiar with Superman. Just make sure you check the pages first...
Current read (novel): A Regency Christmas Present(anthology--multiple authors)
Current Read (comics): Due to the printing tragedy mentioned above, this slot is open for the next 10 minutes or so.)
