So, around 11:45 the tornado warning goes off. Since the tower is near here, it was all nice and loud. Then the lights flickered and I abandoned
calixaand
lesbiassparrow. Which was good, as the electricity went out about 2 minutes later. I then spent about 10 minutes on the stairs, chatting with the neighbors as we watched hail bounce off our cars until there was a lightning bolt that made it look like daytime that was followed by bigger hail and strong winds, at which point, we all scurried to camp out in our hallways/bathrooms/whatever. The weather, it scares us. (Or at least, those of us who literally had our roofs ripped off and pieces of other people's barns in our back yards about 12 years ago...)
It is entirely possible that I dozed off while camped in the hall and ended up with one leg propped on the wall, and the other in my bedroom. For maybe five minutes or so.
But really, the fun part was when my neighbor almost literally jumped up and back two steps when the lightning struck.
Yes, this and retail therapy were the highlights of the day. I did nothing constructive whatsoever, and didn't even watch or read anything, unless you count having Stardust on while I did things at all today(well, yesterday now) which is very odd for me.
