Dull week all around. Lots of e-baying. Lots of overtime at work. The Frodo/Sam stuff bores me so much all around that I haven't finished watching RotK yet. Bright spots on book buying, though. Hastings was having a "buy 2 get 3rd free" sale on all paperbacks(just MMP...no TPBs) got 6 mysteries and 6 Forgotten Realms books, and went ahead and grabbed the JSA All-Stars TPB while I was at it. THEN someone had taken in LOADS of manga to one of the UBSes in town, so I got the first volume each of CERES: CELESTIAL LEGEND, KAZAN,KING HELL,
PARASYTE,REVOLUTIONARY GIRL UTENA, and SORCERER HUNTERS. I also picked up book 2 of SERAPHIC FEATHER, thinking it was book one. Oops. so far, I've read Sorcerer Hunters, Kazan, Ceres and Utena. Utena and Ceres were both great and I'm definately gettingthe other voluimes of those. Kazan and Sorcerer Hunters were both good enough that, and 1/4 cover price each, I'll get the rest of what' at the store, but may not go and buy them new, depending on my opinion of future volumes. My unread comics are currently mostly blocked off by boxes from the library booksale, so this is a very good discovery. Going back for the rest of Ceres and Utena tomorrow, and hopefully the first book of Seraphic Feather. I also think I spotted the first book of Fushugi Yugi(by the creator of Ceres) and will get that too.
