Dresden Files=One of Megan's favorite fantasy series and her favorite urban fantasy series.

TV show premieres tonight on scifi @ 8 CST, 9 for most of you, and you must all watch.  Especially if you like Supernatural.

And since I'm here anyway...

I am happy.  It was awesomeness.  They went with "based on" instead of  "adapted from" and didn't use the stories from any of the books for this episode, or the next based on the previews, but that's cool.  They touched a bit on the ongoing storylines from the series though, and I hope that continues, especially the wolves, Morgan and Thomas.

There were a lot of changes, of course, but none bothered me enormously, though Murphy having a kid and Bob being a ghost w/ a body who gets sent to the skull when Harry's mad at him as opposed to being sealed in the skull with freedom occassionally being the price for aid(he's not nearly as well behaved in the books) was actually LESS noticable to me than Harry having really, really short hair, but Harry felt very "right"

So, yes, I will actually be glued to the TV and enduring commercials for at least and hour a week for the foreseeable future.

Speaking of commercials, I was thinking about leaving the TV on during the first 2 Battlestar Galactica commercials, annoyed by the third, and all interest was killed from then on...I mean, that was HOW many couples looking for each other/breaking up/getting together, etc?  Sheesh.  And, severe overkill and it looked incredibly NOT newbie friendly, which you'd think they would have at least tried to make the commercials, as they were airing in the first ep of a new show with a decent following(based on the books) newbie friendly.  Oh well.
