What...what the heck did I just watch...I...I...

Yeesh.

I mean, yeah, symbolism is great and all but not to the point where a person can follow the story better if they're only half paying attention because they don't get lost in it that way.  And what was with that car?  I mean, obsessive much?  And then that photo thing, where Akio would take the picture, and then Touga and Saionji's shirts would pop open...HUH???  Also, Is it just me, or were they rather obsessed with Touga's bare chest in the second half?

The first 15 eps or so were good(though too caught up in the symbolism even then) but after that...ooog...I honestly think the main reason I watched it straight through was because I'd get utterly lost if I took even a short break.

Less symbolism, less Anthy(didn't like her) and more Touga and Jury would have done wonders for the show.  oh, and more explanation.

In other news, I've been looking at SDK raws and reading translations, and am a chapter and a half from being caught up with FMA scanslation(unless ch 69 is out and no one told me) so I'll likely be posting on that shortly.

So, I caught up with the scanslations of FMA up to chapter 68(which I think is around vol 16 or so)

Also, Samurai Deeper Kyo does NOT have scanslations(full scanslations, at least) so I've been piecing things together from raws and translations.  I've been mostly focusing on the end stuff(I had to make sure all my loved ones were ok) and good grief...did Kyo and Yuya REALLY need any more angst...I mean, isn't him living in the body of the man who killed her brother and her life literally being used as a test for his usefulness enough?  Did they REALLY need more angst(seriously, from what I've gathered...which is only a few things from 17 volumes that haven't been published here yet, they're approaching Basara levels of OTP angst)  Also?  While I understand it redeems himself, Kyoshiro is currently of "despised OTP interferer" status.

ETA;  Dear Tokyopop.  Fruits Basket is finished.  Samurai Deeper Kyo is finished.  Both books are popular, so how about WE START PUTTING THEM OUT A LITTLE MORE QUICKLY, HUH??????  The same goes for Viz and Hikaru no Go.  Normally, though, Viz is better about that.
