Ah bliss, I am back to loving Little Fish to death again.  Amazing the difference in character appreciation when the series is being approached the right way from when it's being approached the wrong way.  Course, now we have palace intrigue...and...urm...generally I like palace intrigue, but as I really only care about Little Fish's part in the intrigue(which is a blast)...yeah.  You know, cut this show back to 30 eps, cut out a lot of the palace intrigue and solo Little Fish stuff, and this show would be borderline perfect.

Hmm...what else before the main part?

Princess Moon:  If you weren't such a psychotically evil, jealous, over-possessive control freak, mean MIGHT stop leaving you for, you know, NICE girls...  And Yuyan?  Seriously, you're such a manipulative  wretch of a user that I'd hate you even if you weren't trying(and failing) to be the third person in a love triangle.  Honey, Flower wasn't interested when he was brainwashed into thinking he didn't love Orchid and tricked into thinking she cheated on him...dressing up like her and going "isn't this enough" REALLY isn't going to get you anywhere...

I have also made a few more icons.

Ok, lets forget the incredibly bad characterization and writing in general, and that this Diana reads more like a slightly older Cassie than anything else.  Let's focus on her speech.  For the last 20 years(I don't know much about pre-crisis WW) Diana has been portrayed as a woman who  is always meticulously aware of what she says.  Not one word leaves her mouth without her being utterly convinced that it is absolutely the best possible choice for the moment and situation.  She's a warrior, a scholar and an ambassador and she understands full well the power of words.  Now, she's portrayed as never knowing what to say and always saying the wrong thing.

When describing Circe, arguably her greatest enemy, a woman who has worked time and again to destroy Diana's life, a woman who supposedly stole a piece of Diana's dead mother's SOUL and put it into her own daughter, this is all Diana could come up with:

"She's uh, tall...fairly attractive...until you get to know her.  I guess."

What, all those battles and she never got more than a glimpse of the woman?

Oh, and this is now Diana's preferred verbiage in battle:

"Go to hell."

"Shut your damn mouth."

Along with generic and trite superhero prattle...you know, the things that Diana would NEVER say.

Oh, and Diana now drops severely wounded men on their butts for making mildly inappropriate jokes.

Ok, seriously, when the campy(but in the fun and very enjoyable way) 70s TV show gets it better than the "acclaimed" writer does, you know you have a problem.

Oh, and let's not forget that, as of Amazons Attack, Diana now refers to Hippolyta as "mom?"

I should have read Zemo: Born Better #3 AFTER WW...save the guaranteed good read for last, you know?  Ah well.

Th...that was traumatic...

They took the internet down at 8...I don't know how I survived...such a good thing that I always take more to read than I possibly could in a day.

I REALLY hope it's back up like normal tomorrow...it's questionable, as the company has new owners...
