Sep. 6th, 2007 05:39 pm Wormed my way out of work today(not hard, what with it being dead slow) so I shall be spend thing day catching up with scanslations(specifically, Full Metal Alchemist and the starting Akimine Kamijyo's Silvery Crow) and watching Young Warriors. And maybe a movie.

Sep. 6th, 2007 05:39 pm Wormed my way out of work today(not hard, what with it being dead slow) so I shall be spend thing day catching up with scanslations(specifically, Full Metal Alchemist and the starting Akimine Kamijyo's Silvery Crow) and watching Young Warriors. And maybe a movie.
I have spent a fair chunk of tonight reading the first three chapters of Akimine Kamijyo's(Samurai Deeper Kyo) Silvery Crow(it's the easier title to remember so it's what I'm going with)
This was a rather interesting experience for me as it's my first time reading snanslations before already being into the series, as every other scanslation I've looked into, I was already buying the licensed series(as I shall do here, too, should such a happy occassion arise)
Incidentally, ch 1 is roughly 80 pages, ch 2 50 pages and ch 3 30 pages, so basically, I read volume 1...and if I'm not mistaken, this is a monthly series. Either Kamijyo is killing him/herself(?) getting the early chapters out, or got a huge headstart.
Anyway, thoughts, story and a few pics.
ETA: I also read ch 72-74 of Full Metal Alchemist today, and they were excellent, but as it's licensed and I buy the books, I'll save my thoughts for when gets over here.
