(no subject)

Woke up to two more yuletide beta requests.  One for a canon I am relatively obsessed with, the other one I'm familiar with, but wish I had more time to refresh myself on the canon.  Or at least, that I knew where I put my copy of the canon so I could refresh myself while I wait for it to show up in my inbox.

Meanwhile, Rightstuf is having a clearance sale from now through 1/4/09.  20% of regular price of all instock items (meaning that, if it's in stock, companies like Tokyopop, Viz, CMX and Dark Horse are 25%+20%+got anime membership).  Codeword is newyear2009.

Further evidence I need to get put back on ADD meds.  I cannot find my insurance card.  While I am up to dat on my health insurance payments, I have apparently been going around for an indefinite period of time without my card.  I haven't actually needed it in about 2 years, so who knows when it went missing.

And now I will take care of that, read, wrap presents, and work on catching up with writeups while I wait for yuletide fics to show up in my inbox.

Hmm...Vol 4 is shrinkwrapped.  Any particular reason that doesn't involve spoiling me?

Seimaden Vol 5

( I haven't had fanservice of a certain variety this good since certain parts of Tsubasa and Samurai Deeper Kyo. )

In the afterword, Higuri You says that she gets letters saying that she should get rid of Hilda so that Laures and Tetius can be together, but that that wouldn’t work because Laures is straight. This amuses me because…err…aside from Seimaden and Cantarella, aren’t most of her works shounen-ai or yaoi? It also makes me wonder what she says to similar letters about getting rid of Lucrezia and/or Sancia in Cantarella.

My current goal is to finish this, X/1999, and Godchild by the end of the year. I’m not sure that’s a wise goal. It also depends on whether or not Rightstuf sends me vols 8-9 of Seimaden, and how long they take to get here.

PS-Am this close to waging sound war with the people in the apartment below me.
