Sadly, there was no Mary Weather in this volume. I disapprove. Kaori Yuki did mention, though, that she prefers drawing female characters to male characters, and gets upset when she isn’t drawing them. I think girls are just easier for her to gothloli out.

And is Cain starting to have prophetic dreams?

I think Kaori Yuki was trying to make up for the lack of Mary Weather with Cain/Riff. Riff getting bit by a poisonous spider! Riff facing Cassian’s knives! Riff beating himself up for cutting Cain’s face while mad with poison! Cain pretending to swear to be Mikaela’s slave to get the antidote! Riff vowing to follow Cain to Hell!

Urm…do they still get even gayer than this?

Also, Disraeli’s tragic backstory is that his mother dressed him as a girl to hide him from Alexis, only to turn him over as soon as Alexis hit on her again, and his older sisters’ organs are inside him?

Well I…guess that explains the collection of body parts in jars.

Excuse me, dying of laughter now.

Oh, and Disraeli saved Riff from the spider poison with a fake antidote guaranteed to cause Cain angst. Disraeli is very devoted to adding to the fanservice.

One would not think it possible, but yes!

Well... that's part of it. Huh, I did not recall that the thing about his sister's organs was revealed in v 4! There is some excellent foreshadowing in this series!
