May. 31st, 2009 05:36 pmWe have left A-Kon and are back at
telophase 's. Apparently, Sora (the shunning kitten) sniffed my bag that I left enough while I was gone that he feels safe enough to get within 2 feet of me, and run through my legs.
There is also apparently something fascinating smelling in my bag from Half Price Books, because both cats keep sticking their heads in it and sniffing.
I went to 2 panels-one on mythology in anime and manga, which was mostly about Pantheon High, as the creators hosted the panel (pretty decent, but centered around a title I don't read) and one of heroines, which actually had nothing to do with anime or manga but was Lynn Abbey, Jody Lynn Nye and 2 others whose names I don't recall off the top of my head talking about being a woman writing in genre fiction, especially a woman interested in writing about anything but straight, white, athletically built men. I kind of need to find all their works now, especially one of the two whose names I don't remember (I have the program somewhere) who was amazingly funny. Mostly, I wandered around and hung out at
telophase 's booth and observed cosplayers.
Heading home tomorrow, will post cosplay and loot pics within the next few days.
ETA: Seen only on Friday, this year's version of Shirtless Tattoo Renji was a guy with pants, a vest, and cat ears with "free catboy hugs" written on his chest. As I only saw him once and he was surrounded by fangirls, I suspect that he, too, learned what it is to go out amongst hordes of fangirls.
