I am home in my apartment with very scarce supplies in the refrigerator.  Woes.  And I had too-greasy fast food chicken at 2, and so long for actual good good but only ate 4 hours ago, and so am not hungry.

After leaving [personal profile] telophase 's, I went to the Half Price books near her place and got a ridiculous amount of stuff.  (I think a little over twice what I got at the big Half Price yesterday.)  On my way out, a woman saw me with three bags and thought I would know what other Half price books were still open (apparently one closed recently?) as I was clearly an avid reader.  I think I was flattered.

Incidentally, I am travelling far too much over the next month.  This coming weekend I'm going to my cousin's graduation and will be gone from around lunchtime Friday through sometime Monday, and at the end of the month, there's a family trip to a Ranger's game.

Also, Sora, the shunning kitten, permitted me to pet him this morning as long as there was a partial barrier, and apparently gave me a peace offering last night, as I woke up to cat food on the edge of the bed.

Did I miss anything interesting?  I skimmed LJ/DW when I had time, but haven't read closely.

I will now spend the rest of the day unpacking and watching Netflix DVDs.  Incidentally, Netflix apparently decided to send me both the 1997 and 1978 versions of The Mill on the Floss.

I forgot to mention.

The absolute best bit of the con was when I was flipping through an artist's binder in the artist alley and came across this one Death Note pic*.  It had Light in a trenchcoat bending over L.  L was naked and half buried under human skulls, and Light was pulling him by chains.  There was a postit attached saying "this is not yaoi, it's symbolic, think about their relationship" and then explaining the symbolism.

Which, you know, I totally get, and I'm sure many an artist has gone "uhm, no, this picture does not mean what you think it means," but do we really think anyone who bought it cared about that?

*Ok, no, that was the wee Inu Yasha in the Inu Yasha family who ran up and asked to see the picture after I took the family's picture.  That, or the Steampunk Baby in the steampunk baby stroller.  (Steampunk Mommy was undergoing makeup repairs, so no pic of that is forthcoming, as I wasn't about to say "Can I take a picture of your infant?)
