I have carefully gone through the box of random books acquired at the library booksale and picked out what appear to be the choicest romance novels to attempt to read soon, and have presented them in the best of all possible formats, so that you may choose what seems to be the most awful genderfail cracktastic historyfail cliched promising.

Unplugging the DVD player overnight didn't help.

The general consensus at work seems to be that the laser burnt out over the weekend, though I'm not sure how I can check that without paying someone just to look, and then probably be told that fixing it will cost more than a new DVD player.

Uhm...it was a Christmas gift from my parents, so I'm mostly miffed that I apparently killed it in a moment of dumbness?
