manga: The Young Magician vol 4-13

Another “I started it and really liked it, and then got thoroughly distracted” series. Oh, the crack I was missing out on!

This features not only what may be the most strangely sensible-in-context-but-it-really-should-be-messed-up romantic pairing I have come across in manga, strangely compelling time travel, and what may be the most horrific case of child abuse I’ve encountered in manga. Seriously, it’s like Yuri Narushima was reading Saiyuki and said “Kazuya Minekura, you are too kind to your readers’ sensibilities.”

Oh, and a cheek that is pregnant with a psychic being.
