Can someone please tell me what the "Victorientalism" hoopla I've been seeing references to is about, without my having to trudge through links (I'm having 5-10~ minutes internet time at a go while the nephews are here)?  I am assuming it involves the fetishization of Oriental cultures in Victorican set fiction, but won't really have time to look into it for the next couple days.

My nephew on which All Dogs Go To Heaven movie he wants to watch: "I want to watch the one with the girl on it."  "The one we watched the other night?"  "Yeah.  The one with the girl on it, not the one with the boy on it."

(I suspect this has far more to do with the first movie having funner music and the second having a scarier villain than a preference for Charlie's Moppet Of The Movie, but he did also prefer The Princess and the Frog to whatever Awesome Movie For Little Boys they had gone to the theater for at Christmastime.  For the same reasons, actually.
