Kekkaishi Vol 7

meganbmoorei have nothing really collected to say, so just a few quick hits:
I love Tokine taking out the Ayakashi threatening the boy it was possessing. I'm sure that will surprise no one. I also like how smartly and ruthlessly she did it. I need an icon of that. Though I the the best part was Gen and Yoshimori's faces.
Meanwhile, Yuri seems unduly fascinated with Gen. Sweetie, you need to stop that. He'll either chew you up and spit you out, or he'll develop a crush on you. Either way, it will only end in tears. For you.
Masamori is also off becoming a member of the Kekkaishi version of a high council. I have to say, I like him more than I do most plotter/schemer characters but...I wish he weren't as much of a plotter, if that makes sense. (He's more brilliant with something up his sleeve than the typical pseudo-flighty "I know something you don't know" scheming.)
And we now have Ayakashi who want to be human. Interesting. Though saying they like and don't want to hurt humans is rendered rather moot when they turned around and sliced Gen open. (He mentioned having 20 outfits at home and then lost 2 in this volume. He'll be clothes-less, soon.) Things are proceeding rather interestignly on the Kekkaishi front in general, actually.
I predict that Kaguro is a very popular character.
