You know, I think the anime just made me love the manga more, kinda for the same reason as Fruits Basket...I'm watching along thinking about how awesome it is, while still knowing it's no where near as good as the manga, but darned if "nowhere near as good" isn't better than the bulk of what else is out there.

I also just ordered the artbook from Amazon(along w/ Jim Butcher's Cursor's Fury-figured I may as well go HC on the Codex Alera books, too, and the second HC of  DC's Justice series)

Anyway, I just finished watching the short(only a few minutes each) FMA OVAs, and figured I'd go ahead and link them here.

This one is the "wrapup party" for the movie...really not spoilery, and very cute...it's all chibi versions of the characters and confirms that A)  Riza Hawkeye really does rule the world and B)  Winry really will kill Ed  if he ever looks at another girl.

This one has almost no dialogue, but is about Ed's grandchildren(who are deadringer's for the kid versions of Ed, Al, and, of course,  Winry finding their way to grandpa's house to wish him happy birthday.  If you haven't seen the movie, stop at exactly 3 minutes in.  It's incredibly cute.

This one plays almost like a segment from the series, but it doesn't really exactly fall anywhere.  Basically it has Greed kidnapping Ed, Al and Winry, then the other homunculi, then Mustang and co showing up, then all the state alchemists, than everything goes boom.  Not an example of the storytelling of the anime(great fun though) but a pretty good example of the animation.

And...another Roy Mustang/Riza Hawkeye MV.  Not that I'm obsessed or anything(at least, not as much as some are...)
