Bleach vol 22 with future spoilers

This post has spoilers for the current arc.  Previous post is current-arc spoiler-free.

1.  Isshin refers to the vaizards as "a gang of lawless ex-soul reapers who tried to acquire hollow powers through forbidden methods.  Their whereabouts and ideology are unknown."  From this, I'm assuming that the Soul Society doesn't know anything about what really happened(including that Shinji and the rest were victims) and the vaizards either fled and assumptions were made, or someone (Aizen?  Urahara?) deliberately spread false rumors.  Unless he was just being cagey in case they were being listened to(which I doubt...isn't he in hiding?)  it seems that whatever else Isshin knows about Urahara's plans, he doesn't know the truth about what happened 100 years ago.

2.  After the fight with Benihime(aaah...I forget if that's his name, or just a nickname...) (ETA:  Yammy.  Look, there are so many named things in Bleach that I stopped being able to tell the difference between a person, a sword, and a move around volume 10.) Yoruichi mentions that the Arrancar are a lot tougher than she and Urahara thought.  I'm not sure if she means since Aizen's plan was revealed, or if she's in on everything on Urahara's plans, and has been all along.  Yesterday, geckophobe and I were speculating about how we were never told(tyhat either of us recalls) where Yoruichi was before showing up at Urahara's, even though they (IIRC) left the Soul Society at the same time.  Possibly, she could have been with the vaizards, helping them to learn control, or some such.
