Poor Shinrei...I was rather mean to him in #23...I think that's why I made all the variants. But you know that's how he and Akira would react to the fanfic about them...and that Hotaru would be all "ooo...what's this? *reads* cool."(and then forget it 2 minutes later)

Yeah, poor Shinrei, but it's okay to be a little mean to him from time to time. It makes me want to hug him more every time someone is mean to him...
And I think you're right, that would be their reaction, after they finish being shocked by the fact that Hotaru can read at all...

Shinrei is just a llllliiiiiitttttttlllleeeee too serious for his own good. Which is why we love him, but it makes it so very easy to pick on him...*comforts the poor boy* Though, really, you'd think having Hotaru for a brother would be punishment enough...

I rather suspect Hotaru can do anything he feels like doing, he just rarely feels the need to focus on anything long enough for people to notice.

Well, having Hotaru for his brother is something Shinrei can only blame himself for. after all, he was the one stopping his fathers assassins, right? Perhaps all his seriousness*(is that a word? sounds funny) makes him want to torture himself by having Hotaru around(what a weird thought), you never know...

actually, what you are saying about Hotaru makes me think that the guy is a genius! He just feels like *let them figure the things out by themselves, I really don't care*

Yeah, Hotaru being alive really is Shinrei's own fault...I wonder if he curses himself for being a good brother(for the SDK world)? Shinrei is just too caught up in that duty and loyalty stuff for his own good. Someone needs to pull that stivk out of his butt for him.

Yeah, that's Hotaru exactly. He just can't be bothered with most of what's going on, too many shiny things are around to distract him.

ehm, that's actually a really really good question.
Mmm, as far as I remember it's not even the 'real Yuya'. It's from Akira, Tora and Hotarus fight with, whats his name again? anyway, this guy makes them see, I guess someone who's important to them, attacking them.
Not quite sure about it, 'cause I think that Hotaru sees Fubuki... Anyway Tora sees Mahiro attacking him with some sort of short knife...
I just couldn't help falling in love with that picture, 'cause I think that Akira is way too polite and shy to get such a reaction from Yuya...

Maybe that's the reason for Shinrei to torture himself with Hotaru, it's his way of relaxing? I mean just cut himself off and take his thoughts away from his duties and whatever he values and wonder why Hotaru is, well Hotaru. And perhaps Hotaru is the guy you seek to ehm... 'pull out the stick' as you said.

Yeah, Hotaru should be leading the Mibu!

Heh...Yuya wasn't even overly phased when Akira said he wished he'd killed her when he met her(maybe she just accurately took it as his way of saying he liked and admired her?) Tora needs to just go make babies with Mahiro. Seriously. (Actually, in the anime, he does, but anyway...)

Though, Akira could unthinkingly say the wrong thing about Kyo/Yuya and get such a reaction(though it's more likely that someone else would say something and Yuya would do her twitch thing and it would be Akira going nuts)

Heh. I think Hotary likes Shinrei just the way he is...you know he enjoys driving him crazy, like any good younger brother does.

Bald Shinrei is incentive enough for Hotaru to NOT run the Mibu...boy needs his hair...

*Thinking hard* when did he say that again? can't remember having read it in any of the books I have, and I'm too tired(lazy) to go check on it.
But Akira as he is, raised by Kyo, Bon and Akari with Hotaru as his older brother it really could be his way of saying 'Yuya, you are a wonder full woman, marry me' who knows?

Look at Shinrei, who wouldn't enjoy driving him insane?
Naeh, it's just their way of showing their brotherly love, Shinrei giving up on Hotaru and Hotaru just beeing Hotaru...

Away from the fun af the idea of Hotaru running the Mibu I can't find any other reason for Hotaru to do it other than he would love the bed that follows with the title. (a comfortable bed in my word).
So I guess that Shinrei will keep his hair for now. He's so pretty...

He comments that if he'd realized what an effect she was having on Kyo when he first met her, he would have killed her then(read: before she was giving Kyo too many warm fuzzies and killing her would be counterproductive)

See...all you need to know to understand why Akira and Hotaru are Akira and Hotaru is to look at the people who raised them...a homicidal nut, a crossdresser in love with said homicidal nut, and the world's biggest battlenuts softie...they never had a chance.

You know, after Yukimura, Shinrei is probably the prettiest guy in SDK...well, there's Sasuke, but he has his chibiness giving him quite the advantage there *glomps her woobie*

Kyo, Bon and Akari should raise more kids, 'cause even though Akira and Hotaru are ehm, special, they're both completely adore able.

I actually think Shinrei is prettier than Yukimura.
maybe it's because Shinrei always shows so many feelings, I know yukimura does too, but it's just in a different way. they'd make a cute couple anyway... Sasuke, he's just plain cute.

Akira and Hotaru are my favorites after Kyo and Yuya(SDK is one of the few things where my OTP trumps all else) Then it's Shinrei.

Except for Sasuke(in his "your such a cute little kitten...let me untangle your claws and get you more milk" way) and when he's angry, most of the feelings Yukimura shows aren't even his "real" feelings anyway.

Sasuke is...I want to hug Sasuke every time I see him. Not the least of which is because he's just as messed up as all the adults in his life...I think Yuya is the closest thing he has to a normal relationship, he basically went "NORMAL GIRL!!!" and hung on for dear life(there are girls inthe Yukimura fanclub, but Sasuke being Sasuke, I'm not sure he views them as women so much as he does men with breasts who are worse about the "so cute!" stuff)

ehm, I have been wondering about what on earth 'OTP' means so now I really need to ask.

I think that Sasuke has painted 'HUG ME' all over his face, but he's the only one who doesn't know it.

Lol- the Yukimura fanclub, yup, that sounds right... they're just as crazy as fans anyway, breasts or no breasts. Yuya is the most normal person in the whole manga, guess that's why everybody likes her so much, including Sasuke, who just got himself a new older sister...

OTP=One True Pairing, colloquially used to indicate that you're all for a canon, or at least mostly canon, ship.

Sasuke definately has "hug me" written all over his face.

One thing I love about SDK is that it's one of the few times where most of the members of the huge male cast are nuts about the girl in one way or the other, and it makes sense because, hey, they have more issues than anyone could possibly know what to do with, and she's probably the first thing resembling a normal, stable relationship any of them have ever had. It was a bit odd when I was reading and Sasuke was calling her "onee-chan" about 5 minutes after he met her, and then I found out what a poor, abused little woobie he is and realized that that's what EVERYONE did in their own way and it made sense.

Ouw Thanks, It was nice to get the explanation...

Actually I think that the fact that Yuya is not only normal, but also extremely friendly is the reason why all the men finds her so special. She just wants to help everybody. even people who kidnaps her and stuff...
And Sasuke will just love the first person who is being nice to him without trying to squeeze his remaining life out af his body. has Yuya ever been giving him a hug?

Yeah, Yuya's niceness is definately a major factor, as is the fact that it's not the sugary-sweet "feel god about yourself and hold hands" kind...she just doesn't hold a grudge. She seems to view Akira and Hotaru as their just being themselves, and is more annoyed with Shinrei for not believing in Kyo than she is with the fact that he's literally killing her for around 10 volumes. She's rather like a force of nature herself in her own way...she conquers them all with her niceness(personally, I've always thought that Shinrei was more annoyed with the fact that someone COULD have that much faith-and not back down to him-than anything else because it's more faith than he has, and he wants to have it)

Hmm...nope, I don't think Yuya has ever given Sasuke a hug(she's probably too aware that he IS just like all the other guys to risk it) though she is the only one he'll sit still for when it's bandaging time. Poor Sasuke...such a tough little guy and everyone wants to give him hugs and snuggles...actually, he reminds me in Rokuta in Twelve Kingdoms, except that there's only one person there who would ever DREAM of glomping onto him, and he doesn't do things like that.

well, Shinrei gave her 60 days to live så it would be a waste of time to just go around and being sorry for her self. instead she uses her time to believe in Kyo and feeling sorry for Shinrei (I think) because he doesn't believe in Kyo.
but I wonder if Shinrei's not actually slightly jealous of Kyo? I mean, it doesn't sound like anyone had ever believed in him like Yuya believes in Kyo, and then he find that his (the Mibus) enemy has a person by his side that believes in him regardless of what happens around her, and Shinrei just has his orders... It sounds like Shinrei has just been told that he has to grow stronger to make his family proud, and to be another mibu-masterpiece his whole life. and he did that. he did grow strong and he is proud of who he is, and he should be, but it's just like something is missing. I don't know...

Naeh, you're probably right, Yuya wouldn't risk her helath just to hug him... she's too wise to do that...

Oh yes, Shinrei was definately jealous there. Kyo has, you know, FRIENDS...and a *gasp* girl(cuz, you know, the closest thing Shinrei's had to a girlfriend was repressed angst with a woman who'd really been dead for a while but was in a fake body). And gets to live his own life, for the most part. *pats Shinrei* It's not his fault he had the family and upbringing from you-know-where(hint: next incarnation, actually TALK to your brother...)

Yuya has MUCH better survival skills than most anime/manga girls...she actually has useful skills(granted, the fights are out of her league, but she's a good bandager-the only one Sasuke puts up with without whining- and her moral support is actually USEFUL) and gets the heck out of the way in fights.

Yeah, Kyo has a girl... Shinreis head; 'that's so unfair!' and then he just decides to curse her, and kiss her... he just wanted to kiss her!!!! (such a bad boy *giggle*) *waves my little new flag* It could have been so cool if Shinrei just had like, taken her along with him so that she could have tought him eh... be human, I think... Oh, I just went in to my 'Shinrei-go-seduce-Yuya-and-give-her-a-happy-life-and-lots-of-babies'-mode, sorry...I'm sick...

Yeah, the fights are way out of her league, but if she actually was a part of them she would just get hurt and wouldn't be around to care for the others, when they get hurt. anyway she should get herself a cheerleader outfit, just to lighten up the scenes... and to make Kyo happy...

think I'll just shut up now and get serious. ^_^

oh, that was DEFINATELY "you're cute and i'm jealous...let me give you a death virus type thing" kiss(the boys show affection/crushes in the worst possible ways) And only Kyo makes Yuya happy...all she needs is to be with Kyo...she said so *waves her shippy flag*

Yuya in a cheerleader outfit would make them ALL happy...except Akira(flustered, even if he couldn't see it) and Sasuke(they're all bad enough anyway) But Kyo would enjoy that skirt WAY too much for Yuya's good(except for the fangirls who just want him to cart her off to the nearest hut and get to making little red eyed babies already).

Mmm, Shinrei is a bad bad boy when he does stuff like that, but it's okay, 'cause the look on Kyos face was priceless! (and Benitoras too)but even though it was a silly way to show her his ehm...affection, he did make sure that she would come to see him. and I alwas wonder if it was her first kiss?

You know, if she actually did jump around in such a outfit, it would be too easy for Kyo to win his fights, 'cause his enemies would get so distracted. and I guess Kyo would be sort of distracted too, but again, he already knows what's underneath her clothing

YEah, I love Kyo's "huh???" shocked face...it's like hisd brain can't process things and shuts down...his brain was going "touching my woman touching my woman touching my woman" I would have loved to see Akira's reaction to that.

I suspect it was BOTH of their first kiss...unless he makes a habit of that.

If Yuya wore that and did cheers, EVERYONE would be distracted. And Kyo...well...part of the fun is that she tries to keep him from seeing or touching...I suspect he'd be sulking(seriously, he's like a 5 year old with a crush most of the time) Hmm...Hotaru would probably think it looked fun...Akira and Sasuke would be in complete shutdown mode.
