Warehouse 13 Season 4

For the first time ever, I actually watched the latest seasons DVDs for this show before the next season started airing. Though I suspect it's because, like Nikita, there's going to be a longer break before the final, 6 episode season. (TBH, while I'm sure I'll enjoy the last season of Warehouse 13, I have a lot more faith in Nikita's writers delivering a fabulous wrapup.)
-I found both "big bad" arcs this season to be rather awkward? I suspect that has more to do with the longer season apparently being somewhat last minute than anything else, though.
-"You shall create an evil of your own making" will never stop cracking me up. I mean, surely someone noticed the redundancy along the way? It can't have been that hard to tweak it.
-I totally didn't actually realize the priest Artie was out of get him was Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation until after he was gone. The casting of James Marsters and Anthony Stewart Head amused me greatly, though. More than Paracelsus himself, actually. Hopefully the warehouse remembers that Claudia is it's favorite person ever quickly so that they can get rid of him for us ASAP in s5. I did enjoy Paracelsus's family a lot, though.
-I wasn't at all impressed with how they got rid of Lena. Really not impressed.
-I'm glad SyFy rescued Kelly Hu from faily CW shows. (Even if the worst of TVD's fail didn't start until after they killed her character off. But still.)
-Also glad they finally gave one of their queer characters queer actio, even if off screen. But in season 3, I somewhat felt they made Steve gay at least partly so no one would expect Claudia/Steve to be UST-y and/or romantic? But then they apparently pretty much forgot about Liam. And I somewhat wish HG's new love was a single mother instead of a single father.
-I swear the show forgets Claudia's age and background every 4th episode. Not just the "She institutionalized herself, no wait she she was forced no wait..." Also, given the references to years since cases took place and periods of months within just this season (such as, HG was off doing something for at least several weeks before Artie asked her to look for the dagger and then who knows how long looking for the dagger and then she went into hiding and the regents had to track her down to get the dagger once it was safe AND THEN she found her current job and ha been there at least 6 months by the time she calls the warehouse for help) I'm pretty sure Claudia would have only been 16-17 when she first showed up for us to only just now be having her 21st birthday.
-Out-of-nowhere secret evil sibling plotline what? I figured her parents were secretly warehouse agents and some of their DNA was in storage somewhere. I'm guessing the secret evil sister is going to somehow be responsible for the parents' deaths? (And probably between Claudia and Joshua in terms of age, which could explain the 10~ year age gap there.) I'm guessing she's either in the regent's employ (I don't at all put it past them to keep a couple people Artie would consider evil and/or dangerous close by) or in custody somewhere nearby?
-Given the nature of the show, I...find it really hard to be worried about Myka? They'll probably have a magic miracle cure show up at the beginning of next season. (I half figure Lena will somehow be resurrected too.) I also feel there was a bit too much emphasis on Pete's reaction to it as compared to Myka herself dealing with it.
Am I the only one hoping that SyFy does some minis/movies-of-the-week about past Warehouse agents in the future? If done right, stories about previous warehouse agents (not just HG, Rebecca, Jack and Jane, but also agents there were only brief references to in their adventures, or not even that) could be done pretty easily without requiring any knowledge of the show itself beyond "people work for a secret organization and hunt down potentially dangerous magic items."
