Witches of East End: Apparently I accidentally got invested?

-I was really hoping ghost!Adam would hang around, even though I knew he probably shouldn't. Not really happy AT ALL that we lost our only major POC character.

-But how is Freya going to explain the dress to Mama Gardiner? I'm glad we're apparently getting that backstory right away, though.

-I was hoping Elyse would have managed to make Dash and Killian more interesting, but nope. Though this episode was the first one that made me think Freya really does love Dash, as before, I more had the feeling that that she liked him and thought he was hot and a good choice than that she was actually in love with him.

-I thought what Wendy did to Maura Thatcher was generally handled well (and Wendy's "I'm sorry what I did upset you and that it went haywire, but I'm not sad that I did it" made sense for her) but the ending felt a bit dismissive of it for me.

-So, those early scenes with Joanna and Harrison made me go "wait, I really did mean "I ship it in that way you don't want it to happen last week..." and then she "slam, bam, thankyuosir"-ed him, and that was ok. Dude did look rather crushed though. Maybe he'll wander back in.

Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries: FYI, season one is now streaming on Netflix. Also, my twitter feed is slowly falling prey to the series, which pleases me.

-I like how Dot is becoming more Phryne-like with her developing deviousness and and detective skills, while still not becoming Phryne-like at all. Also, I love that she's apparently a bad liar but so pure and sweet and wholesome that it would just never occur to anyone that she could be lying.

-The Drama with Jack pushing Phryne away and such felt a bit forced, but it's over now and things are back to normal, so that's ok.

-There's a lot more Mac this season, and that makes me happy.

-I actually really loved the movie plot, especially once Phryne was the director, even though it felt like a random filler episode. The bit at the end there, though...yes, we know Phryne likes diversity in her sex life, both in terms of partners and activities, but were the shackles really necessary, show? Particularly since the dude had no lines the entire episode and spent most of it half naked, and there's the whole "wealthy producer takes extra home to bed" part.(And yet, still not as urgh-y as the orientalism in the books makes me feel.)

Ravenswood: A little better at the "We want to separate ourselves from PLL but make sure we keep all the PLL fans" thing this week.

-Boooooo! Miranda probably really is dead. Yaaay! People besides Caleb can see her now.

-Miranda, sweetie, NEVER say you'll be happy to connect with anything when you know there's a ghost out there that already killed you once.

-I like that Abby chose Olivia to talk to. Unless she's part of the force trying to kill everyone. Then I'm not so fond of it.

-Remy's dad bugs me. I get him, but there is a lot of paternalism there.

-Miranda's uncle also bugs me with the cryptic "I know stuff," but in a more amusing way.

For the curious: I'm keeping up with Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, Ravenswood, Sleepy Hollow, Witches of East End, and Haven*, waiting for Nikita and Pretty Little Liars to start up again, and am queueing Elementary, Beauty and the Beast and Person of Interest for when I'm in the mood, but just can't work up the desire for procedurals right now. I've moved Covert Affairs and White Collar to DVD only series, and everything I've heard about season 2 of Revolution tells me that it would annoy me a lot, so it's gone unless reliable sources start telling me good things. Season 2 of The Paradise is also airing in the UK now, but I'm waiting until it's over.

*One of these is not like the rest...
