Jul. 1st, 2017 12:16 pmKilljoys is back so I guess I’ll find out in the next few days whether or not I’m over that “we had exactly one story to tell for our second female lead and no that we told it she’s dead and gone after an almost throwaway death scene because there certainly weren’t lots of ways to explore where her character could go after the events of the second season, but this secondary male antagonist tied to 1 character and 1 plotline is just so interesting and has so many possibilities, so he’l probably come back despite a very dramatic and final death scene” interview.*
(I actually hold the unpopular opinion that Dark Matter is better, but I only know of one other person who feels the same.)
*Killjoys has always had the “does amazing work with the female lead, drops the ball with the other female characters” issue that it got away with due to the fact that the lead character is a black woman, but that interview really drove that problem home.
