So, the last name of the main family in The Gifted is named Strucker, there are 2 blond mutant teens close in age with complementary powers (they both appear to have a form of telekinesis) and one is named Andy. I have no idea if this is foreshadowing, comic nerd trolling, or pure coincidence.

Anyway, I liked the pilot. It’s set in the present or near present and is in one of the early-ish stages of one of the many Very Bad Terrible Futures from the X-Men comics, but scaled down for a TV budget. They seem to have a pretty good idea of what they’re doing. I suspect if there are narrative problems, they’ll stem from the “what can we and what can’t we do because of movies and licensing” that plagued Supergirl’s first season.

Omg, I missed that about Andy! They're not twins, though? But I like your theory. There were plenty of easter eggs in the pilot though -I liked the bar with the glowing X and a painting of a wolverine.

I liked the pilot too - I'm a sucker for anything mutant, but it rolled along competently, and I liked Lauren's calm togetherness. And the dark haired woman that talked to Blink at their HQ was apparently Sage, so yay.
