*giggles* The angst has arrived, , and it's arrived the way I expected it to. It's not silly, but there's ssssooooooooo much of it and I saw it coming from the start.
We're up to 3 dramatic, slowmo deaths and we have 10 episodes left and I figure about 5-6 more deaths, at least.
Poor Fuma, Kamui almost literally killed him when he chose to be a Dragon of Heaven, because Fuma's Destiny to be the other Kamui meant that whatever path Kamui chose, he would be forced to take the other, and as Fuma would NEVER choose to be a Dragon of Earth(much less kill Kotori) everything that made him Fuma was killed to make room for Kamui's "twin star." And, of course, if Kamui had chosen otherwise, the exact same thing would have happened, except that it would have been his soul that died, and he that killed Kotori. I actually rather like that the lines between good and evil are so muddy...I mean, the one that seems to be the kindest and most honorable character is the bad guys' dreamseer, though Sorata is the nicest.
And man, this show LOVES its slashy subtext...I mean, normally, slashy subtext goes right over my head, but here? They're all "Kotori is Kamui's one true love and the one he will sacrifice everyone and everything for" And then it's long stares and comforting with Kamui and Fuma and even Kamui and Subaru. Some of those stares have made me wonder if it was actually going to stray into the shonen ai territory in canon.
And....EEEEEE!!!!! SUBARU!!! Not gonna say much cuz it would be revealing his entire storyline so far to say why I'm EEEEEEE!!!!-ing, but EEEEEEEEE!!!!!! And, seriously, they're all piling the angst on Kamui, but I swear, his tops Kamui's.

Under the care of her adoptive family, Saya Otonashi has been living the life of an anemic and amnesiac, but otherwise ordinary schoolgirl. Saya’s happy life is shattered when she is attacked by a chiroptera, and learns that she is the only one who can defeat them. Armed with her sword, Saya embarks on a journey with her family, allies and faithful servant/OTP, Haji, to rid the world of Chiroptera and rediscover her identity. To say more would be to ruin a lot of plot twists.
Here is the OTP:

*pencils it in somewhere*
On the one had, I tend to love the longer(but not endless) ones, on the other, they also have too much potential to get lost and go all Fubar. *points to Utena*

Date: 2007-04-28 04:24 am (UTC)I just got a copy of it so will get to it sometime next month. Wil definitely post as to whtehr it's good or not. Witchhunter Robin, Wolf's Rain and x are in my next batch of 'must get anime' I basically used up my manga/anime budget for this and next month already :)

That is a VERY good next batch. What besides Blood + and SDK was in this one?
*is selling some stuff on ebay and as such actually has a VERY nice slush fund for anime, manga and doramas ATM*
