Ah Robitussin my friend, how I have missed you...but not really...

For those on my flist who don't know, I had laryngitis when I was 18 and  it became chronic.  As a result, anytime I get anything that causes coughing, I get incessant, hacking coughs  that feel like my lungs are coming up and they're violent enouigh to give me headaches.  In this case, it started Thursday but didn't get "bad" until yesterday(btw, it usually runs its course within a week...if I'm not feeling a LOT better by Wednesday, I'm going to the doctor)

I haven't slept well at all the last two days-because my half of the floor is empty except for my department on Sat., anytime I got up to do something, I was literally walking with my eyes closed-and because my throat hurts, I've barely eaten anything.

I'm not "sick" in the contagious sense(I think I had a slight cold early this week-was drowsy and sneezy-but got over it pretty soon, but it always sets off the cough) I'm just medicated, hungry but not hungry(if that makes sense) in slight pain and sleep deprived.

How out of it am I?  I just finished watching the second Trick movie with forgottenpolish(we both passed out about an hour into it last night) and can't bring myself to babble about it, despite it's being pure awesome, as always.  Those of you who watch doramas and  have heard me go on about Trick knows how much that takes.

I think I'm gonna go lie down for a few then make icons.

ETA; Robitussin +Aleve+LJS w/in 30 minutes=bad idea.

I tend to have horrible coughs after I get a cold - my bronchial tubes get sensitized very easily. My doctor gets me this weird medication called benzonatate. It's a pill - they look like little yellow bath-oil beads, transparent. You have to take them with tons of water, But they work really well and don't make you nearly as groggy. It is prescription only.

lying down for about 40 minutes helped a LOT(and tormenting ed in FMA icons is helpong more...poor ed)

Hmmm...which Sano? RK I presume? Though I think HK Sano would be more handy...RK Sano would pawn me off on Megumi...

Well, I meant the RK one. I'd send Hwangbo Yoon but he has really...untraditional...ways of dealing with sick people.
