kdrama: My Girl

Just finished the first ep, and so far, so good.  Loved Gong-chan blowing on the pen after using it to pry Yu-rin's fingers off his seat.  Yu-rin is a bit over-the-top, but she fun.  I have to ask, though, what is it with kdramas and putting their heroines in those ultracutesy outfits/hairstyles?  One episode and I'm ready for Yu-rin to have a new wardrobe...or at least ditch the vests and the pigtails.  (Someone please tell me it changes later, for the sake of my sanity)  Not sure about Lee Joon ki's character yet...really cliched intro and...urm...I know everyone kinda fangirls over him but...he looks like a girl...a really pretty one, at that.

ETA:  Lee Dong Wook and Lee Seo Jin need to make a drama where they star together as brothers.  Seriously.

Yoo-rin's fashion is crazy but she doesn't do the pigtails after ep 1, I don't think... Mostly it's a nutty ponytail but it suits her character, I think. My Girl has some questionable fashion (some of Gong-chan's coats I can't get into even though I lovelovelove the character/LDW) but it doesn't irritate me a whole lot.

I know what you mean re: LJK.. I was all "I don't know" but in the end I really like his character. He's a surprisingly fair and unaggravating kdrama third wheel. I don't fangirl Lee Joon-ki's looks, though, but I do like him as an actor.

About 20 minutes into ep 2 and she still has pigtails. I think i've seen pics of the ponytail though, and it looks better.


LJK kicks butt well, and I think I like the character...I just have to remind myself this really is a guy...(a haircut would do wonders)

Hahahaha, I know what you mean. In a comment to Mousie's My Girl picspam I think I said, "I like that guy who looks like a boy [referring to LDW].. You know, as opposed to that guy who looks like a girl. :P"

The good thing about My Girl is that it doesn't take itself very seriously (as you might've noticed already) so they even joke about LJK's girly looks.

I forgot to tell you that I have a nickname for LJK, I call him "Girlyman".

My friend thinks I'm obsessed with being mean to Girlyman, but I only do it out of love. Well. Sort of. I don't hate him, anyway. I'm just fascinated by his girly-ness. Is that so wrong?

I 'fess I love crazy kdrama heroine fashion. But as far as it goes seriously, the most awesome dresser (no craziness!!) is Bo-ra from "Winter queen".

Mostly it amuses me, but occassionally-Chae-gyung in Goong and Yu-rin the first 2 eps here, but she seems to be over it now-it irritates me. Crazy and bad I'm ok with(I DID Watch HYD and Magicians of Love...) but cloyingly cute is beyond my ability to withstand.
