dorama: Devil Beside You eps 1-2

Ithink it's time to accept that It Started With A Kiss is probably the only twdrama that I'm going to love and adore, everything else seems to just be "like well enough," at least that I've seen so far. 

DBY is one that, as far as I know, pretty much all the dorama fans on my flist have watched.  To be honest, I'm not sure what I think about it so far.  The scenes with Rainie Yang and the guy she likes are just boring.  Her scenes with Mike He are(thankfully, as they are the main pairing) better...they have decent chemistry, but aren't grabbing me yet.  The only part I've really liked so far is when his father shows up, and their scene right after that.

Mike He's hair isn't nearly as bad as I was led to expect...confiscate his hairspray and most of the problem will go away...a trim will fix the rest.  He's cute enough, I guess(I know a lot of the flist really likes him)  But any time he does the "evil grin" thing, all the cute is gone.  And Rainie...honestly, I like her character well enough, but her expressions and reactions are, so far, too over the top for me.  And her daydreams are boring, so far.

That said, there's nothing WRONG with it exactly...just too much of some things and not enough of the things that work so far...the story is amusing enough, though, given the start and her daydreams, I can't help but compare it to ISWAK, and then it comes up lacking.

But we'll see.

Another person who thinks DBY if "so so"...
All my friends love it and start giggling when I say "Mike He". They say that DBY is better than ISWAK...ah no....ISWAK is fifty times better
And yes I mean, Mike He is good looking but geez ALL actors are!! Especially asian ones...
I found DBY boring, tedious and frankly was glad that it was only 14 epsiodes(couldn't stand it if it was 16 and frankly would have given it up if it was longer than 20)...
The only plus point for me was Rainie...well not in this series but generally I adore her and the secondary OTP (Kingone and Rainie's best friend) are one of my favourite secondary OTPs like ever.
....Mike He was just annoying(I am the type of girl who goes for guys I'd like in real life and frankly bad boys who act arrogant don't cut it for me)...but having said that...I am really excited for Why Why Love( I love rainie, hate the name)!! I hope it'll be really good:P

ISWAK is the only twdrama where, for me, they never tried too hard for anything. Here, they're trying far too hard for "cute" with rainie and "bad, but not really" with Mike for me to really get into it so far.

Yeh...I agree. ISWAK just sort of flows and by the end I actually believed that Xiang Hai was that stupid and Zhi Shu was that smart, cool-headed and mean. I never really could "believe" Mike's or Rainie's characters...they were too...awkward..

I am soo excited for ISWAK 2^^

I believed in Joe and Ariel's characters almost from the start, more quickly than I do most dorama characters like them.

oh very much looking forward to ISWAK 2...esp. now that dreads guy and Zi Yu have been added to the cast...it wouldn't have felt right without them.

Yeh, I am totally pumped for ISWAK 2...Jiro Wang gets a girl...and a kiss(half jealous half happy:P:P)
....I am soo crazed about ISWAK 2 right now...I've wanted it since seeing ISWAK in '05....so excited:P:P
