We've been watching Psych this week at work.  It gets compared to Monk a lot so I've been curious about it and was glad one of the boys got it.  While it entertains me and I like it, and the characters, I'm not feeling and serious attachments yet, and while I like Shawn and his investigations and antics, I get annoyed at the scenes where he's faking having a vision, as they tend to be overdone and annoy me.  Still, I'll hopefully be borrowing the two discs we've watched already, so I can watch the eps properly.

Also, I loved the cover to season 2 of Bones when I first saw it the other day...thought it was really cute. But then I was looking at it again earlier, and HIS FEET!!!  Somehow that just makes the whole think look absurdly cute to me.

Bones - Season 2 box art

Though, for his sake, he better put his shoes back on if they go walking together after...I mean, just LOOK at those heals...

The whole overdone fake visions is the reason I could never get into Psych. Never seen Bones (not really interested, either, but the cover is well designed)

without the fake visions, i'd actually probably be nuts over psych.

bones is quite fun, if only for booth's dialogue and te interactions between the characters.

OMG I want that DVD.

Booth's socks are a very interesting plot point in S2 (no, seriously! :D) so the cover makes sense in a weird way. And yeah, I love those promo pics. Freaky but cool as well.

It is indeed amusing. Basically there is a lot of introspect for Booth's character and why his relationship with Brennan is as it is etc. If you want spoilers, I can give them. There is one *awesome* guest appearance I was completely in love with - the character was just ingenious, so good for the overall plot.

Yeah, that's pretty much my only complaint with Psych, but the mysteries are pretty clever, and the characters, spazzing aside, are worth it. It's amusing to see him overact, but it makes everyone else look dumb for falling for it. Well, everyone but Lassiter. I was hoping it was just growing pains of the series, and the actor trying to find his footing, but while it as gotten better, it's still a bit too much.

Everytime I see the flailing footwork of reading the cop who was learning to dance, in the opening credits, I twitch a little inside.

And as much as I love heels, if I saw a woman wearing those, I would be fighting myself to not push her over... ;)

actually, it annoys me that the cop who knows hes faking is portrayed as an idiot and comic relief, while the one who completely falls for it is portrayed sympathetically. i do like, though, that the chief doesnt care as long as he gets results.

i rather wonder how she can walk on those heels, myself.

I never got that Lassie was being played as an idiot. He seems competent, knows Sean (Note, too many Seans on tv...) is faking, and solved cases before the series started... It would be nice to see him solve some more cases himself, but that kinda defeats the purpose of the show. =)

And of COURSE the one who believes Sean is sympathetic. He's totally crushing on her. ;)

Apropos of nothing here, love the "Murphy's a blonde?" icon.

in the episodes i saw, they'd have him start out on the right track, and then take it to absurd extremes so that his good idea got lost in it, and while hes not exactly shown as an idiot, hes put into situationswhere he's made to look like an idiot to other characters.

i like the crush, really, it's cute(though in the scene where they'd met, my "weirdo" and "stalker" alarms would have been a lot louder than hers were. i just don't like how the characters are treated in context of whether or not they're fooled...i'd rather all 3 main cops had it figured out and it was just the ones who didn't know him didn't know.

Eee! I discovered Bones early this year! At first, i thought it was a bit weird but then i started to love it lots! then, disaster struck!

But then my cable company got into a spat with another one blah, blah, blah, so, no more Bones, or Lost or the Dresden Files or Battlestar Galactica...boo!

i wonder how long it'll take me to knit those socks!?

no Bones or Dresden Files is a truly tragic thing.
