A few may recall my shamelessly stealing and posting the daily lists Rob Thurman made up for the Leandros Brothers books(as far as I know, the series has no real title, so I'm giving it that title)  She has made 2 more(I want Promise and Georgie's daily lists, myself) and I am shamelessly stealing and posting them, too.

But first, the cover to book 3, Madhouse, coming out in March:



Very nice...as long as she doesn't end up some sort of romantic rival.

Robin's List of Daily Affirmations, Dreary Chores, and Incredibly Witty Observations  

1. I look amazing today. I mean, yes, I always look amazing, but I'm especially devastatingly gorgeous today. Good for me.

2. Remind annoyingly dull cleaning service that the footprints on my headboard and the ceiling over my bed aren't going to wipe themselves off, now are they?

3. Call Hippocrates and ask will Weed-B-Gone cure a meadow nymph STD or do more harm than good.

4. Make up mind as to whether to find out why both Leandros brothers are sniffing your hair suspiciously or just enjoy the process

5. Ask Niko where I can get a brief case marked Super Sexy Boogeyman Slayer too.

6. I mean, honestly, I just look *damn* amazing today.

7. Pay the next installment to goth/emo kids to continue chasing Cal down the street.

8. Decide whether best description for my ass is rock hard or sculpted in marble. Decisions. Decisions.

9. Block Paris Hilton's phone number. Bitch...please.

10. Seriously, could I actually look more amazing? Even in an alternate dimension? I think not.

11. Contact lawyer and find out why I'm not on a book cover yet.

12. Steal a pair of Niko's underwear while he deals with exploding kitchen.

13. Rom are smart. Greek are smart. Auphe are smart. What happened with Cal?

14. Did I mention how absolutely amazing I look today?

Monday night: cackle insanely on the roof of a Kin warehouse until they piss themselves.

Tuesday morning: watch adorable toddlers cavorting in a park

Tuesday afternoon: eat annoying female breeders who object to the eating of adorable toddlers
Tuesday night: Bingo. Bring lucky human's foot.

Wednesday morning: See lawyer about writing Cousin Caliban out of the will. What with him spoiling our remaking of the world, he is on my list o' shit.
Wednesday afternoon: Find new lawyer as previous one died of fright.
Wednesday night: Find new lawyer as yet another one died of....oh, the hell with it. Kill Caliban instead.

Thursday morning: sleep in and digest three dead lawyers.
Thursday afternoon: concoct a cunnning plan to gate Caliban to the heart of the sun to burn unto death.
Thursday night: This is more difficult than it appears. The Sun is far away. See if local bookstore has Demonic Astronomical Maps for Dummies book. Also, mutilate then eat barrista who charged me 5.25 for a caramel macchiato with whipped cream.

Friday morning: The Ellen Show is on. She is such a good, wholesome person that she simply must be eaten...however, I *do* love that dancing.
Friday afternoon: Will allow Ellen to live only because I'm still full from the lawyers and the barrista, not because I like her dancing....which is quite entertaining.
Friday night: Go to club where scrawny blond female breeder is screaming someone named Robin has blocked her number. Hear explosion two blocks over. See streams of black dressed underdeveloped humans racing up and down the street in search of something. See vendor selling Super Sexy Boogeyman Slayer T-shirts outside the window. See a familiar Puck running down the sidewalk waving a pair of human undergarment over his head in victory.

Go home, vow to stop buying and sniffing Wolvesbane from the Kin. Curl in ball and cry for my mommy. I really wish I hadn't eaten her.

OT, BotI spoilerage

This seemed like the most logical place to put it. But say otherwise if it's not.

I gather you are up on the Dark Horse translation to date? Do you read the monthlies, or stick to the collections? Besides those, I have the untranslated tankoubons and recent issues of Afternoon magazine. This doesn't always mean I know *exactly* what's going on in the manga at this very moment, because my comprehension of written Japanese is just above nonexistent. Other people post synopses of varying detail and accuracy, which sort of helps!

Renzo: He appeared again about a year ago, and turns up every so often. You've seen Shira in a cell with no hands, of course, and Renzo's current role is linked to him. Yes, THAT way.

Magatsu: I think the last time you would have seen him, he was unconscious after a fall in a quarry. He survived (probably not a surprise) and has been hanging out as Anotsu's lieutenant just as before. This is a recent shot of him from Afternoon. http://madame-manga.livejournal.com/76732.html
A little while after that, he has a great scene with a young female fighter who chases him down. The explanation of who and why could get long-winded, but if you'd like some scans from that confrontation, I have them.

URK to Renzo...doesn't sound like the fate i was hoping for for him.

Magatsu is like Manji when it comes to stayting alive, except he has pure stubbornness instead of worms.

I've actually heard a bit about Magatsu and the girl...my first thought was "and so began 500000000 wuxia romances"(wuxia heroes and heroines like to fight when they meet and have some familial hangup that means they should be enemies) Would love to see some pics, though.

I have the feeling that Renzo is being set up to make a difference in some upcoming crisis, since he's certainly got no reason for loyalty to Shira other than fear. As you might expect. :P

Heh -- yes, now that you mention it, that Magatsu scene does have a classic martial-arts-flick-boy-girl feeling, which might only be enhanced by actually being able to READ it...

Let me see -- I think I will upload a packet of assorted scans from that scene and give you a URL so that you can look at them. I am never sure whether to post that sort of thing out in public, since as I say I am extremely leery of spoiling others who didn't want to be spoiled. Hmm... maybe I should make a friending category for spoilers? Not like I'd be all that prompt and consistent in scanning and posting excerpts.

I watch a lot of wuxia dramas(the TV series) and it happens sssssooooooooooo often...and it's usually fun...

I usually plaster "Spoiler" or referrence at what point in the story what I'm talking about takes place so people know it's stuff not out yet.
