The TW Hana Kimi theme song will EAT YOU ALIVE!

No really, it will.  It is so giddy and chipper and energetic that it should make you want to rip your eardrums out to escape, yet it's bizarrely appealing and addictive.  VERY addictive...I think the last song I listened to over and over that was absurdly giddy and hyper yet too addictive for my own good was the opening theme to the Spiral anime.

Yes. Because nobody dies and if a person angsts for more than 30 seconds, the entire world tries to cheer them up. And it has something resembling a puppy. That does not die.

I remain amazed at Jiro Wang's ability to overact this much without being annoying. It also seems that, odd hair extensions aside, Mei Tian/Umeda is my favorite in this version.

So that's what you meant by the song will eat you alive. I wondered what you meant in your more recent HanaKimi post. I love this song - it takes a bit to grow on you but then you get hyped up on the bounciness. And the lyrics themselves are really cute to!

Umeda really threw me at first but I got hopelessly addicted to him fairly quickly. And that way he's always using his one hand to flick his bangs across the other side of his face.

(Try watching this & then Tokyo Juliet for the first time. I could not take him or Wu Zun seriously after seeing them in HanaKimi first. Wu Zun went from somewhat withdrawn/suave to total dork & Umeda from gay doctor of wacky sophistication to designer playboy? *mind explodes just remembering the shock*)

Hmm...how big is his role in Tokyo Juliet? Good guy or bad guy? He get an OTP?

He's a good guy but he has his bad guyish moments, I guess. He's not a huge role but you see him throughout. No real OTP. He's one of the many guys after the girl.

Let's see, the girl is in an OTP with Wu Zun. Umeda wants her & Wu Zun's evil Daddy trys to help him (via kidnapping & attempted/forced seduction). But he genuinely cares for her so things work out & they end up good friends so he pops up constantly throughout the series helping out.

His hair is a curly mop & he acts like a totally confident player. Very fun character & one of my favorites in the series. - You should definitely check it out. He first shows up in, I think it's episode 3....
