I vote for Pride. It's Kimura Takuya + hockey + jdrama + soundtrack by Queen. HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG.

I liked Nodame Cantabile a lot, but Pride stole my heart. As the comment above me mentions... Queen soundtrack (brings much lol) and Kimura Takuya. Not only that. but the female lead is the most beautiful, cute thing I have ever seen, and I have a giant girl-crush on her, haha.

Nodame is my favorite DORAMA ever. And that's saying something because normally I favor Kdramas over all others. But this one... THIS ONE MAKES MY HEART SING WITH GLEE. (and take use of the caps lock button numerous times to express my love towards it.)

I don't know if it will be to your taste. Maybe you prefer that your heart not sing with glee at all. Actually, I honestly don't know WHAT your tastes are. But Nodame is funny and has a lot of heart, so if you're into that I say go for it.

Seriously, Nodame rules. Everything is in primary colours, she's wonderfully kooky, as are many of the supporting charaters. You actually care for all the characters in this drama, and the musice and the ending and it's all so uplifting and positive and...(yep, you can tell i love it right?) and if hopeless girl + stern unwilling man is your thing, then i reckon you'll like this.

Pride also rules. But differently. Pride appeals to the adult in me. I loved the characters in this and how they interact with each other. It seems so grounded and real and how for the 2 leads, the love they have is quiet but truthful, they will make no excuses for it. Seriously Satonaka Halu is the only drama bloke that I would consider bringing home to mummy! so yep, i love this one too!

Nodame Cantabile.

First of all, EXCELLENT manga-to-live-action adaptation. In fact, considering the manga's art is not my thing at all, I'd consider this better than the manga. Plus the audiovisuality is a huge plus in something where music plays an enormous role.

Second of all, the only jdrama I adore. It's goofy and hilarious, and subtly, beautifully romantic, and the OTP is so unfit they're perfect for each other. Side cast and secondary OTPs are cute, too.

Third, one of the rare few dramas that's sent me to an insane watching frenzy. I first saw ep one, thought, "Okay, cute, will finish later.." then one day picked up episode two and hoboy, from thereon I watched the 11 episode drama in two days - something I haven't done since, I don't think.

Overall top drama. I'm sure our tastes differ but I've not encountered a single person who's hated this one (except one oddball who had watched the anime - which aired AFTER the dorama, btw - and thought Nodame's actress' voice in the dorama was off o_0)..

Pride rules - it breaks a lot of the rules jdramas tend to have (like sucky kisses)

Slow Dance was mega-slow. I tried watching it but only made it half-way. No real angst, no real romance, just slow-slow boring.

Since I have not seen the other dramas except for Nodame, I shouldn't even be voting. I will tell you why I love Nodame Cantabile, though. Quirky characters. Funny physical comedy. Emotional concerts. Ueno Juri IS Nodame.
