In the WTF!!!! category: Got my english paper back yesterday. Slaved away on it, knew it wasn't perfect but it was a good paper. Got a 70. Only explanation on the paper? It's not well organized(not that he bothered to give an example) and it wasn't long enough(wrong. It meets the minimum page requirement and more than passes the minimum word count) So, out of at least 40 college papers, this makes, maybe, 2 C's(the other of which was deserved) maybe 2 more between 80-85 and another 3 between 85-90. So, when I say I know I turned in a good paper, I know I turned in a good paper. Yes, this teacher is the one I always complain about. Yes, I will be talking to him as soon as school is back in session.

Work: Yes, everyone, it's MY FAULT that you didn't think to call to make sure you could get electricity turned on over Thanksgiving. Yes, I'm deliberately forcing your children to do without electrixty in the cold. Yes, it's my fault you have bad credit and bad payment history with your last provider. Now, would it kill you to take a little responsibility here?

Ah well, no work, no school until monday.

Money: Went in to the bank to get some cash for the weekend today($20...bank is closed on payday and I have direct deposit) Got my receipt back and it said I still had $754 in the bank. Should have $80, $120-150 if some stuff hasn't cleared yet. HUH?!?!?!?! Checked my checkbook...nothing anywhere near that big...closest would be the radiator, and that's nearing 2 months ago, aside from that...couple of $150 and $90 things, $65 for the heater valve...odds and ends...shouldn't have that much there. Thinking about it, I noticed that it was a few hundred higher than it should have been last payday, but I figured then that the checks for my last tuition payment and the water pump hadn't cleared yet. Wonder if my paycheck accidentally got posted 2 times or something...

Books: For a little while, Hastings was trying to do the direct market thing and had random new releases available each week, bagged and boarded. They had a nice variety, too, but I didn't get any because A) Full cover price, and B) Already preordered the ones I would have bought. Anyway, they've marked down the prices to 50-75% off, hence the usagi and oh! my goddess books last week. Went back today w/ another usagi, and #1 of the hire and the new elric book. Not bad. And...I went to the used bookstore for the first time in over a month and found 2 novels. That's depressing. But the other one is reopening on Friday in a new location. Maybe I'll have better luck then(is stocking up for X-Mas break reading.)
