I can indeed tell school is back in session.  What with the f0list being half as busy as usual, the "back to school" posts, the people going to bed early last night and everyone signing off IMs to go to school 5 minutes after I got online... 

One starts noticing these things when one no longer is part of the pack...

In other news, work is slow.  I am bored stiff.  Will likely be spending the rest of my shift on non-internet computers.  If I stay the whole shift.

Young Warriors...it calls to me...I must reassure myself that doctor girl will be saved from that wretched Pan Bao even though Peter Ho is still weak from being poisoned while saving Yang Papa...

Yeah, June-July-August are just plain ol' months once you're out of school ... I'm still somewhat in tune with it vicariously, of course.

Yeah...I'm still in tune with it because some of my department and a good chunk of the phone agents are still in college, but I don't really notice it until suddenly there's a lot less online to keep me entertained at work.

I have a completely random question: do you know of any manga/anime about Graeco-Roman figures (gods, Alexander,* etc)?


*I know I've seen a manga and an anime which had him as a (barely clothed) hero but I can't remember the title.

The only one I can think of is Saint Seiya/Knights of the Zodiac.

I only very vaguely recall reading the first manga back when I first started reading manga, though, so I couldn't tell you anything about it.

I remembered the anime - it was 'Reign.' It was fond of having Alexander wearing very little clothing. I also found: http://www.shotopress.com/titles/golden_vine.php - I'd seen some of this one before somehow.

That sounds interesting. Though not manga, another graphic novel series you might like is Eric Shanower's Age of Bronze, though its publication speed bears a striking resemblance to molasses.

I only barely remember Knights of the Zodiac and can't recall how much of it had to do with actual Greek mythology, but from what I remember, you'll likely enjoy talking about it more that you'll enjoy reading it.

You (I'm sure it was you) were talking a manga where men were warriors and controlled by Diana/somehow working for her. I didn't imagine that, did I? I just am all fuzzy on the details - I'm looking through your tags but nothing is striking me.
