Dear Top Cow...

NUMBER ONE: There is no such thing as a "Witchblade Manga DVD." There is a Witchblade anime and a Witchblade manga. They are not the same thing. They have equally horrible sounding concepts and feedback that have resulted in my likely never ever ever touching them even with my deep love of the franchise. In addition to being different, distinct mediums, they also have different plotlines.
NUMBER TWO: Directly related: I may hate you forever for stating that both series are part of the Witchblade canon.
NUMBER THREE: Please kill off Gleason(but not by Ian) and give Jackie his own book again. Thank you.

Date: 2007-09-25 03:41 pm (UTC)The thing is, I'm fairly certain that 1) The manga and anime don't seem to have looked past the general idea of Witchblade, and seem to focus on the "scantily clad chick w/ big boobs in metal armor" part and 2) that Top Cow only knows a little bit more about the 2 Japanese versions. Their approach seems to be "oh, well, we said they could publish, so it's canon"
But as long as neither brings Sara, Ian or Jackie in, I don't have to touch them...
