1)  If you met Marie, how could you POSSIBLY consider a life choice that would result in being forced to have a relationship with her(marry/date one of her sons)?

2)  If you were raised by Marie, how could you DREAM of marrying a woman?  Ever.

I may actually like the show if it weren't for her.

My issue with that show is that it's so predictable. Every single episode ever had different variations of the same six jokes. Even for sitcom sets, it was dull (since it was just two houses and nothing else), and the only way I could tell the difference between season 1 and season 8 is that suddenly the blonde daughter was in junior high, despite barely being on the show.

I mean sure, sitcoms are by nature repetitive, but even a show like Home Improvement, which followed exactly the same kind of formula (although Ray's wife took never having fun to new levels), at least there was always variety in the locations and different ways Tim Allen hurt himself. Plus, they actually included the kids, instead of leaving them in the background.

That whole show is the equivalent of your grandparents coming to visit when you're a kid. They're boring and talky and complain a lot, and after awhile you'd rather go outside and play then spend time with them. I really don't like that show.

Yes, there's all that too. Andthe fact that the jokes aren't funny. Or any of the characters particularly appealling. I honestly don't know how the show stayed on the air so long...
