Apparently, there is fanfic out there for Mustang and Hughes's wife.  Because, you know, he's just the kind of guy to go after his best friend's grieving widow.  This is wrong on rather extreme levels, IMO.  (He will, of course, carefully screen all applicants for suitors for both wife and daughter...it's what any playboy dutiful best friend would do...he knows what's out there.)

I also just read issues #50-52 of Teen Titans.  It seems not even Lobo can hold my attention through TT these days.  Or Future Evil Titans(not a fan of theirs, but they're interesting) A pity, as I've rally liked Sean McKeever in the past.

Well, I admit I can totally see some angsty Roy/Gracia that leads to love, or something nice and dramatic where he starts falling in love with her and is really, really guilty about it, but just going after her just because, 'hey, I'm in the mood'? No.

Now I want to read the fic where he's doing this and driving Gracia insane, because it's been [blank number] of years and she'd like to date again, before she dies, and enlists Riza's help to distract Roy so that she can get out for an evening.

I can see Mustang being drawn to Gracia but feeling guilty about it, but nothing beyond that...being the widow of his best friend would put her even more off limits to him than being his subordinate puts Hawkeye(of whom he is, of course, the personal property.)

I want to see that fic, too...and a fic of Hughes's daughter trying to date at 15...esp. as Mustang will surely rule the world at that point(Ed and Al will likely have something to say on that subject, too.)

Of course. (I was realizing when I posted my last comment, that i had no icons of Roy without Riza. Coincidence? I think not.

I have one Riza-less Roy icon. As you can see, the absence probably doesn't make him that happy.

They are one of those pairings where, romantic or not, it's simply imposible to imagine one without the other. It's rather symbiotic.

Yeah, Roy/Riza is a pairing when I am totally an OTP about, yet I have no problem with Riza with other people - with either the 'we just never went that way, but we still love each other in our military, can't talk about it way,' or 'we dated it didn't work out, but no one noticed caused we kept it on the downlow and nothing changed.'

Yep. Roy x Riza. Totally OTP regardless of whether they're having sex or not.

yup. they work very well that way. it's rare to get an otp that works so well on those levels.

But I'm positive that "marry Hawkeye" is immediately after "take over the country" on his to do list.
