The very vast majority of today was spent cleaning out my tags list. While I doubt anybody cares(well, maybe
calixa, but only because i've also been talking to her about it all day) basically:
*Redundant tags are gone: skip-beat/skip beat, fullmetal alchemist/full metal alchemist, cable/deadpool/ cable & deadpool, stargate/stargate sg-1, etc. are each just one tag.
*No more book titles. Novels are just author and, when applicable, series. Manga, of course, is still by series, though the few mangaka that had tags still do.
*Manga and anime with 2 names, i.e., kino no tabi/kino's journey, 12 kingdoms/juuni kokuki still have both tags as some people tend to only look for one or the other.
One the flipside, there is only "young warriors of the yang clan" for the Young Warriors series, because it's not really a good title for the series, and no one really knows it by that name, anyway.
*Tags like "real life' and "work" are gone. "Work" because, even though I've never talked about anything remotely confidential, I do use LJ at work a lot. "Real Life" will probably build up again, and the posts are still there, I just don't know that I want a new friend looking at a problem or RL event from a year ago(largely because I'm likely to have forgotten about it...)
*Things like "stalkery people" and "weirdos" are also gone(though again, not the posts) because they tend to be about things that remind me why it may not be wise to live alone in an apt. and get off work at midnight.
I might go back through and add author:/drama:/manga:/anime:/movie: etc. tags later, but it's too much work for now.
Sadly, just looking at my LJ page, you could probably never guess that close to 200 tags are gone now(a lot of typo tags with 0 post were still in my tag list...)
