1.  Shadow Skill

2. Melody of Oblivion

I'm pretty sure someone on the f-list was watching MoO not long ago, but can't remember who it was.

ETA:  Also, I think my Princess Tutu DVDs were abducted by aliens.

MoO was me. I think there's a tag somewhere in my tags for it.

It's pretty good, when by "good" you mean CRACK for about 2.3 of the way through, and then gets ... kinda dull, as explanations start showing up.

ETA; BULLJEEP!

Ah yes, there's one of the images I had burned in my brain.

I figured it was probably you(or one of a few others) as I seemed to recall it was mostly "Crack! CRACKCRACKCRACKCRACK CCCCRRRRRRAAAAAACCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!"

And I think a Phallic Banana of Doom in a Sea of Symbolic Cherries?

Is the crack worth the dull?

Certainly worth it to watch for the first 2/3. Once you hit the bit where the main characters are camping in a park in front of a subway station, you can stop watching it. Unless you want the scenes where the teenage characters have to lube each other up with this special stuff so they can go into the vacuum of outer space without dying, and the girl-cow scenes. (Yes, girls in cow-patterned bikinis playing with a beach ball and saying "MOOOO".)

So, on the whole, yes. Just prepare for some disappointment as they try to explain stuff near the end. :)

I don't remember if the Phallic Banana is still up - I posted some images of a 15-year-old girl almost sitting on a 15-year-old boy's face in the crate of apples right when LJ started cracking down on kiddy pr0n, so I ended up deleting them out of paranoia.

MoO is pretty good if you don't mind that it devolves into a LOT of sexual stuff at the end.

Shadow Skill is another one that's pleasant to start out with but gets a little boring at the end.

Most animes seem to peter out near the end, sadly.

I've never seen the Shadow Skill TV series but I have seen the OAVs, which were tons of fun. Not much plot, mind you, but lots of capoeira and wacky fighting. I'm convinced, however, the anime would have been improved by far more Vy Low is awesome and full of win.

Vy Low is Scarface, the current Sevalle. Let's see if I can find a YouTube video for you to watch later, after work.

I meant your work. I'm get off at 4pm.

No luck finding Scarface vids. WTF? I don't understand. There was this scene from the movie where he kicks the shit out of a giant werewolf.

It's been a long time since I've watched them. (Some perspective: My Shadow Skill OAVs & movie are on VHS.) But from searching YouTube, I can say the animation for the TV series? SUCKS.
