I think Princess Tutu and that batch of Jack of Fables issues killed its ability to look at anything complicated or long without analyzing it to death.

Maybe movies and manga.

BTW, any anime people seen Wild Arms?  I unwisely entered a retail store on a whim today and saw it cheap.  Looks like it'd either be a fun anime, or wretched.

ETA:  I understand there is a Princess Tutu manga.  Is it any good?  Did it come first, or the anime?
