SHE PUNCHED HIM! FOR TRYING TO COMMIT SUICIDE! I LOVE HER!

No, I do not mean Relena. Relena fully supports and encourages not only Heero's suicide attempts, but also his wanting to kill her. But Catherine(AKA, Knife Girl) is another story. Trowa brings a near-dead boy home? No problem! She will nurse him and take care of him. Like Trowa himself. I think her view on Trowa is "well, he's clearly nuts and is far to fond of the idea of my aim being off and killing him, but really, he's mostly a big dumb pet." But a pet who is NOT allowed to kill himself. Oh no. If Catherine sees him trying that, she will place herself in front of his gundam in mid-battle as he's about to self-detonate(Trowa has a hero complex on Heero now...more later) and chew him out, and when he comes out to try to explain how he must live up to Heero's suicide attempts SHE STALKS UP AND PUNCHES HIM(please note that by now, all enemies have been eliminated because the tried to hurt Catherine) and then chews him out for being so stupid and selfish. And then she chews Heero out, rightly convined that he's why her Trowa has started acting like this. Trowa, of course, views himself as weak for failing to kill himself. Heero basically tells him not to worry about it.

Then right after this Heero tries to get the granddaughter of a man he killed to kill him, and she tells him he's a coward who's trying to take the easy way out. Meanwhile, Sally copes with Wu Fei's stoic emo angst and Une remains most excellent. Noin, however, is the best of them all. She lives up to her talk so well that I'm convinced it's humility, and she is apparently so awesome that her students are rabidly jealous of Zechs because she has a crush on him. Une keeps trying to outdo Noin, and gets pwned every time. Noin takes nothing from anyone...except Zechs, and even that seems to have it's limits. I am rather forgiving of that, though, as she's clearly been in love with Zechs since they were 12. Sadly, Zechs is too busy being a homicidal masked vengeance driven assassin type person to reciprocate.

Meanwhile, Zechs has removed the helmet and revealed himself to be the bishonen of all bishonen...by 1995 standards. I feel he wears the helmet out of consideration, as he's more bishonen than the 5 main characters combined. He also has a Sooper Speshul gundam named Tallgeese, that only he is good enough to pilot. everyone said so before he ever saw it. BUT IT'S STUBBORN! AND AUDACIOUS! AND WILLFUL! AND WILL NOT LISTEN! OR COOPERATE! HE MUST FIGHT IT! HE MUST MASTER IT! He must also keep his identity secret from Relena, who is his sister, because she is Pure and Beautiful and Innocent and Good. Please note that it seems everyone but Relena knew her Sooper Sekrit identity as a Long Lost Princess, and everyone but Relena seems to know she's Zechs's sister.

Meanwhile, Relena has told her (dead) father that Heero helps her survive dad's death and supports her...but keeps running away from her. I continye to maintain she is a robot with faulty programming. In addition to mistaking "I'll kill you" for "I like you, lets go out," it interprets avoidance and rudeness as love and support. Relena did, however, perform a public service by shooting a Rose of Doom off Une's coat at a party. My admiration would be far greater had a random stranger not just seen her and let her come to the ball with him because she was beautiful and pure and kind and brave and admirable. He knew this after looking at her for five seconds. He also started spouting off about how she was those things again after she indulges in her attempted murder attempt. Relena is rescued0kinda-by Noin, and I rather hope Noin's awesomeness rubs off on her. I doubt itm though.

"BUT WAIT!" You say. "Isn't this all about clinically insane and suicidal pilots?" Why yes, yes it is. "Well, what were they up to?" Well then...

*cracks knuckles*

After failing to kill Treize (Why didn't you just kick him into orbit, Wu Fei? Why?) Wu Fei, with great stoicism and emo, told Nataku that he was a failure, and no longer able to be Nataku's pilot because he was too weak. Wu Fei then spent over a month stoically angsting at a river as his braid continued to cut off circulation to his brain, until Treize's troops attacked Sally and her men. Wu Fei jumped in Nataku and saved them, but denied that he had anything to do with it. IT WAS NATAKU! ALL OF IT! WU FEI IS WEAK! SALLY IS WEAK! HER MEN ARE WEAK! THEY ARE ALL UNWORTHY OF NATAKU! Sally's reaction is "Ok, I'll just keep the stoically emo boy and maybe he'll calm down after I fiind him some." Wu Fei, realizing that stoic emo is best when shared, became Sally's errand boy, babbling non-stop about how they were all weak and unworthy of Nataku, and how he was the weakest of them all, and "la-la-la"-ing when Sally attempted to introduce him to sanity and logic. BUT THEY WERE ATTACKED AGAIN! WU FEI WAS FORCED TO PILOT NATAKU! HE REALIZES HE MUST RETURN TO THE WAR! HE DOES! SALLY WISHES HIM WELL AND HOPES THE BRAID HASN'T DEVOURED HIS ENTIRE BRAIN YET!

Meanwhile, Zechs breaks in his new armor the proper way, by instigating a fight with Heero. THINGS GO BAD! HEERO REALIZES HE MUST DESTROY HIS GUNDAM TO KEEP IT OUT OF ENEMY HANDS! HE DOES! IT ACTUALLY SUCCEEDS! HE BLOWS IT UP! WHILE INSIDE IT! Yet...he lives. Despite the presence of the infinitely brighter and saner Duo and Quatre, the only one able to get to Heero is Trowa, who tenderly gathers him up in his gundam's hand and takes him home to the circus so Catherine can look after him. TROWA HAS SEEN THE LIGHT! HE MUST BE LIKE HEERO! THE TRUE PATH IS TO TRY TO COMMIT SUICIDE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! HE MUST LEAVE THE CIRCUS AND CATHERINE'S SANITY INDUCING INFLUENCE AND EMBRACE THE WAY OF HEERO! Trowa is also too dumb to not like. Every once in a while, he says or does something that makes you think he might be brilliant and analytical...and then you realize he's either reciting something or immitating someone.

Quatre and Duo, left alone, talk about how they're always ready and willing to die for their cause and don't expect to live to remind us that they, too, are insane suicidal pilots, just not as obviously so as Heero and Trowa. Without the more obviously insane boys around, they are able to function like relatively normal and sane heroes and meet and be saved by rebels and acquire new levels of emo when the rebel town sacrifices itself for them. Meanwhile, Quatre Winner, the small, blond, pale Arabian boy, at least has a legion of followers who could kinda pass as Arabs. Maybe. Duo remains awesome.

Now, to see if I have everything straight:

Relena loves Heero.
Heero loves death.
Noin loves Zechs.
Zechs loves bloodsoaked death.
Wu Fei loves Nataku.
Nataku is a robot, so Wu Fei is out of luck.
Duo loves sanity.
Quatre loves being cute and huggable(I'm assured he gets his chance at insanity soon)
Trowa either loves Heero or has the biggest and most concerning case of hero worship ever.
Une either loves Treize or thinks he's a god. I also suspect she has some severe envy stuff going over Noin.
Treize loves Treize.
Sally and Catherine love being the nice, sane ones with their heads screwed on straight.

No more Gundam Wing until after work tomorrow, probably, unless I end up getting off early tonight.

ETA: Spoil me and I'll send Wu Fei over to stoically angst at you while he does your hair.
