meganbmooreAaaah...so that's what people meant by "eye loss means true love." I apologize for thinkingt he red herring in Vol 7 was it. (Though it's still no comparison to the best "sacrifice of body parts mean I love you" I've seen in manga.)
*It's about time we had a dominatrix. No, really, don't take that the wrong way (please don't take that the wrong way) but I was starting to think it was odd that we hadn't seen a dominatrix-type character to clash with Yuko yet. Not that there's been Yuko-clashing yet, but I'll hold out hope.
*It was nice to see the Zashiki Warashi again. There isn't much to her, really, but I like her. Besides, how often does Watanuki get to be the hero?
*Domeki seems to be more and more investigative and suspicious about the things going on around Watanuki and what they do to him. I do love my less-pleasant-and-non-cheerful characters who go after answers with singleminded obsessiveness. Yes I do.
*So, Yuko's shop doesn't exist at all in the real world? Interesting. I figured it was one of those things where it was there and people saw it(or a fake it), but people just walked by without noticing or thinking about going in unless they needed to.
*Yuko's hints about Himawari seem to be becoming more and more sinister...hopefully, she won't turn evil. That would make me sad.
*The scene where Yuko gives Watanuki half of Domeki's eyes was surprisingly sweet, really. I'm half surprised she had it in her(not the caring about Watanuki part, the letting him sleep on her lap part.)
*Watanuki really should be a bit more thankful about the whole bit where Domeki gave him half of his eye. Seriously.
*Does Yuko have a time machine she uses to go and get some of her wardrobe? (Not that she'd need a time machine)
*I am extremely pleased that, not only are we getting hints about the bigger plot, but THAT TSUBASA WASN'T EVEN MENTIONED ONCE! Thank you, Clamp.
*We got 2 amazingly succinct and accurate summaries of watanuki here:
Raiju: "Yes, he certainly is an interesting child. In a dimwitted sort of way."
And then later:
Yuko: "My, isn't he fast."
Domeki: My, isn't he an idiot."
