This volume was a little odd. We started out in the first half with things fairly well heating up, and then...switched over to other things.
While Qwan was recuperating from his wounds, Yuushi learns from Daki that the Essential Arts of Peace were missing from the palace and attacks her, only to have Daki leave and return to the bug forest he took her from. Yuushi, sensing he's been tricked by Jou Kai, runs off to confront him, only to learn that the smart man with the power of words trumps the demon who's good at breaking things. Something, by the way, that I highly approve of. Meanwhilw, Chikei is shamelessly mooching off of Aman and the Chief Eunich when Shaga shows up with demons for Qwan to eat(and to claim her fee from Chikei) and reveals some of her own(apparently ancient and epic) origins and it looks like things are about to explode...and then Teikou randomly sucks up Shaga and Qwan and transports them to another world.
Where everyone has a mustache and that's how your judged, and the people who have big ones have bows in them.
I don't know.
I like the mustaches world, and the "quests" Shaga and Qwan have to undertake to get Qwan a new arm(which he gets to pick out...good thing Shaga was there to make the right choice for him) and to get home are fun, as is Qwan's realization that he's essentially in a world of appetizers, and the meeting with the very fun Ukitsu(who reminds me of someone but I can't place who) who created the Essential Arts of Peace shows that there's a plot reason for them to be there, as opposed to random crack and comedy, yet...what's everyone else up to? What are Jou Kai's plans? Is Yuushi recovering from his wounds? What is Daki learning in the bug forest? Did Amon and the Chief Eunich kick Chikei out as soon as Qwan was gone?
I WANT TO KNOW THESE THINGS!!
