question for anyone who's ever sold stuff through amazon

So, I'm trying to sell a few things through Amazon, but it doesn't like my bank account number(probably because it's actually a credit union...) What I'm wondering is, if there's no bank account linked to the seller account, to the funds just sit there and automatically get used when I buy from Amazon? Anyone know?

Sorry, I'm no help. I've rarely sold anything on eBay, and never anything on Amazon.
