For whatever reason, even though I liked Kyoko’s “finding” Mio, I find Ren’s “finding” Katsuki a lot less interesting. Probably because it seems to be revolving around Ren’s figuring out his own feelings for Kyoko. Which actually makes no sense, as I DO care about that.  So I guess it's that Kyoko finding Mio was directly tied to character growth and development, while Ren finding Katsuki was more an accessory to the character growth and development.  Maybe I just view the drama stuff as being in the way of that? Also, that drama sounds really bad, but would be amazingly popular if it were real.

But oh! Kyoko-as-Bo helping Ren figure out his feelings! Not knowing the high school student he likes is her! And coaching him for how to go for it! And Ren being terrified of falling in love for the first time and not knowing what to do! And Kyoko being clueless! And Yashiro matchmaking! I’m sorry, Yashiro, but to get either of these idiots to actually do something and figure things out will require you sitting them down and explaining things in very, very small words. Then probably locking them in a bedroom for a week.

Also, every time I start to think I might somehow like Sho for being a complete dork, he reminds me what a self-centered jerk he tends to be. (Oh Sho, if you’drealize you’re nuts about Kyoko, I just might start liking you…)

This Tsukimori arc, btw, is appallingly devoid of Kanae. That needs to be fixed soon.

:) I agree. Mio is so much more interesting and tortured and Kyoko is a newbie so I love seeing her discover her own abilities.

Hahaha Ren and Bo are amusing and you get to see more of the real Ren.

Yes, Mio is the more interesting of the characters(so far, Katsuri seems to be a typical drama guy) and it's much more interesting seeing a newbie figure out her tole than an experienced actor.

I liked the Tsukimori story arc as I'm a fan of the parts that have to do with the actual acting Kyoko does (though I also enjoyed the development of the feeling of Ren for Kyoko). I'm always highly amused by Yashiro shipping Ren/Kyoko and trying to make them realize their feelings.

Very random sidenote, but I have a Ren and a Sho in my fifth grade class, and when I noticed that, I started laughing. Thankfully, neither one is like these manga characters.

Yeah, I like the parts with Kyoko and acting, it's just that that arc isn't as good (as with most of SB) when it isn't about Kyoko. Yashiro needs signs with flashing neon lights.

You know, I don't think even flashing neon signs would work. They'd probably just ask him why he was glowing without even noticing the messages on the signs.

I have now read vol 12. Those 2 will be giving Yashiro a heart attack.

Hee. :) I predict that the moment Yashiro gives up on them ever getting together that's when it's going to happen.

I also like your new icon.
