Setsuna, why did you have to go and say that to Kurai? IT IS NOT ENDEARING! Yes, Kurai is all wee and cute and short tempered and mouthy and you want to hug her and pet her and give her chocolate, but she can still take you down.
And then at the end, you were all cheery and accepting of being in love with your sister. What was with that? Go back to being emo and wangsty so I can take evil joy in your pain. You’re more interesting that way.
Meanwhile, the nuns at Sara’s school actually spout something that actually resembles Judeo-Christian doctrine. I was confused by that. Sara is much less emo and wangsty about the incest thing than Setsuna. Actually, she seems pretty ok with it. I almost cheered when she declared her love in the face of oppression. Clearly, it’s a good thing that Setsuna is angsting enough for both of them.
We also learn that Kira can summon a sword by cutting himself. I do not know how I could possibly forget that. Kurai also has three girls sealed in her earring that are actually dragons. Who like to tease her. Because Kurai is we and cute.
And there are MOAR ANGELS! Let’s see…Kirie is a schoolgirl angel who likes to play tonsil hockey with Rosiel(who I keep forgetting is a guy) which makes Katan jealous. According to Kaori Yuki’s notes, Katan fans don’t like her. Pft. LIKE BOTH, I SAY! There’s also Zaphikel, a blind, glasses wearing priest who’s really an angel, and his keeper Raziel, who Kaori Yuki assures me is male. I have doubts.
Zaphikel was apparently blinded by looking at Adam Cadamon, who is apparently an androgyne. (Err…this is actually a new word for me…I’m assuming it’s the opposite of hermaphrodite?) Who now wishes to blind Adam Cadamon. And Setsuna now seems to be the reincarnation of both Adam Cadamon and Alexiel.
I think I need a chart. And I have 18 or so volumes to go.
