meganbmooreSee, this is why Itsuki should have invested in a leash: she lets Tobei out of her sight for five minutes and suddenly he’s living in a junkyard and eating out of garbage bins. And claiming to like it. Because he is a badass seinen action hero and Feelings are Evil. That, or he objected to Itsuki’s joy in traumatizing him with modern technology. Not to mention feeding him, clothing him, and pointing him to proper plumbing so he could keep clean.
Unfortunately, he cannot escape from the Evil of Feelings, and keeps unintentionally helping people. Not that he even realizes that that’s what he’s doing. The hosts are also changing from criminals to people with Issues who are better off after being possessed and getting over their issues. I am torn between liking it when Tobei is taking down criminals, and liking when he’s unintentionally helping people get their lives back on track. Ise just wishes he could figure Tobei out.
And I love Tobei’s FLEEING IN TERROR when Itsuki finally finds him. Because he has Feelings for her (err…not THAT kind, I don’t think) and Feelings are Bad and Evil and make him Weak. Thus making her the only thing he fears and runs away from. He’s wearing every shounen hero ever’s issues on his sleeve.

Date: 2008-07-11 03:18 am (UTC)I need to start this series! I thought of it the other day when we were in Border, and they were having Buy 4 manga, Get one free - but the shelves already looked like Attila and 1,000 Huns ahd been through, and they only had the most recent volumes for Togari.
(BTW, there are 2 sweet Kougaiji/Yaone fics on springkink, one by freeradical9 and another one.)
