ETA:  And as soon as I hit "post," comment notices start popping up on auctions I already gave up on...

It didn't go down for me, or at least not that I noticed. Meanwhile, I'm ahead in two auctions, but I'm not staying up 'til 3:01 AM my time to see if I win. I'll just have to check in the morning.

I tried getting on about 10:45~ and kept trying every 10 or so minutes until it worked at about 11:40.

Hah! I went back to reading King Rat, so I may have lost track of time. Two other people reported 15 minutes though, and that's what I thought it had been, so I assumed that was it. Maybe it was just different amounts of time for different servers. (It's kind of hilarious how we're all scurrying about LJ and posting about a brief outage. DO NONE OF US HAVE LIVES? XD)

When I woke up and saw a pile of LJ-notifications, I was convinced someone had gone in after LJ came back on line and I was in bed to outbid me. Fortunately, it turned out to be two 'you won!s' and a bunch of notifications on things I had either given up on or was tracking 'just in case'.

I am contemplating a poll later on what I should have translated. :)

It was down for me for a good long time, And I think it was us - it seems a little too good to be coincidence that LJ went down when we opened bidding, and when we closed bidding.

The reason it didn't go down for everyone for the same amount of time is that I expect they were doing load balancing on their servers. :)
